A great take, Bryan. We have a tendency to tip-toe, and seek permission before we speak. My rule of thumb: write for a global audience by default. We assume Canadians are more sensitive to directness, but in my experience, a Canadian CEO appreciates a clear "ask" just as much as an American one. Clarity and precision are signs of respect.
